Aroma Acupressure For Cravings and Digestive Balance

Healthy weight management comes from healthy sustainable habits. Try adding this self care routine to your toolbox. These acupressure points and essential oils help balance blood sugar, reduce stress eating, and support digestion and overall assimilation.

Grapefruit

This hybrid of sweet orange and pomelo benefits detoxification, eases water retention, reduces food cravings, and helps regulate body weight if used regularly.

Grapefruit essential oil assists in helping one to listen to the true needs of the body and encourages a positive relationship with one’s physical body based on love and acceptance.

Try It On These Points

Spleen 10 or “Sea of Blood” is located on the inside of the thigh, when the knee is flexed on both legs. This point is found two-thumb-widths above the inner border of the patella.

This point revitalizes the blood and brings warmth, calm, and feelings of restoration.

Use grapefruit essential oil on these points to help balance blood sugar and curb sugar cravings. Apply pressure and breathe until you feel a shift (usually 2-3 minutes).

SP16 or “Abdominal Sorrow”
When your tummy is not feeling great, or you feel slightly bloated, this point helps balance emotional upsets and abdominal tension.

Grapefruit works with this point to balance your appetite and food cravings. Apply pressure on the point and breathe until you feel a shift (usually 2-3 minutes).

Lavender

Lavender helps calm the racing mind and move the flow of energy in the channel. This could calm your shoulder tension too and when the colon is relaxed may be helpful in “letting go’ of toxins both mentally and physically.

Try It On This Point

LI-4 or “Joining of The Valleys” is located on both hands on the thumb side of each hand in the webbing between the thumb and index finger.

This point calms anxiety and a racing mind which can help you make better food choices and improve nutrient assimilation.

Hold lavender on the point for one to two minutes depending on how “in your head” you are.
