Acupressure With Essential Oils For Allergies
Allergies are your body’s reaction to allergens-particles your body considers foreign. Allergies are a sign that your immune system is working overtime.
Try peppermint essential oil on these points to help clear a stuffy nose, soothe a cough, and get rid of phlegm.
Peppermint
Peppermint is a powerful tool for common allergy symptoms like stuffy nose, wheezing, and cough as it helps open the sinus passages. It is also a mild expectorant and helps to cool the body.
Make sure to dilute it before applying topically (20 drops of essential oil per 1 oz of carrier oil).
Try It On These Points
Liver 20 or “Welcome Fragrance” helps to relieve sinus pressure, sneezing, and unblocks a stuffy nose. It’s located next to the nostrils.
Energetically, it enables one to receive and inhale the wonder of life, lifting the mind and spirit.
Dilute Peppermint essential oil with a carrier oil (20 drops of essential oil to one oz of carrier oil).
Place the diluted oil on both points and breathe until you feel a shift (usually 2-3 minutes). Trust that your body is healing.
Try It On These Points
Kidney 27 or “Storehouse Mansion” is located two inches lateral from the center of the sternum in the space below each collarbone.
This is where chi from the Kidney meridian is transported to and accumulates so there is a lot of energy there. It is good for clearing phlegm and reduces coughing and weezing.
Dilute peppermint essential oil with a carrier oil (20 drops of essential oil to one oz of carrier oil).
Place the oil on both points underneath the clavicle and breathe until you feel a shift (usually 2-3 minutes).
