Acupressure With Essential Oils For Hangovers

Getting ready to celebrate? If you do choose to overindulge, use these essential oils and acupressure points to help you mitigate the symptoms and come back to balance.

Lavender

When in doubt, use lavender. It relieves headaches and irritability. It also helps the lymphatic system eliminate waste and boosts the immune system.

Try It On This Point

Yin Tang or “Hall of Impressions” helps relieve headache and calms tension. It’s located between the inner eyebrows.

Use lavender essential oil on this points to enhance mood and regenerate after over consumption. Apply pressure and breathe until you feel a shift (usually 2-3 minutes).

Lemon

Lemon essential oil helps balance the body’s pH which can be off after a night of drinking. It also helps to cleanse the liver, kidneys, and skin.

Try It On This Point

Gallbladder 8 or “Flowing Valley” helps reduce the effects of over-intoxication. It’s located 1.5 inches above the apex of the ear on both sides of the head.

Pressing this point helps with hangovers, migraines, nausea, vertigo, vomiting, and convulsions.

Apply diluted lemon oil on these points and breathe until you feel a shift (usually 2-3 minutes).
